Pathway
Regenerative Permaculture Design & Installation
Helping you create productive, abundant landscapes that work with nature, feed people, and connect communities.
DESIGN & INSTALLATION PATHWAY
1. Permaculture Consultations
Start with a conversation about your land and what you’d like to create. I offer on-site consultations where we walk your property, explore ideas, and look at the natural patterns of your landscape. Whether you’re after inspiration, guidance, or a clearer direction for your space, this is the first step in turning your ideas into reality.
2. Permaculture Design
Good design is the foundation of a thriving system. I create tailored permaculture designs that map out productive gardens, food forests, animal systems, composting systems all suited to your land, lifestyle, and goals. Each design works with the natural features of your property to create a regenerative and functional landscape.
3. Installation & Food Forest Builds
I bring the design to life through hands-on installation. From vegetable gardens to full food forests, I build productive landscapes that grow food, build soil, support biodiversity, and create beautiful spaces to live in. I generally focus on one project at a time so each installation receives the attention it deserves.

About Relationships
Why Permaculture?
Permaculture isn’t just about plants. It’s about relationships with the land, with food, and with each other. Well-designed gardens and shared spaces help people slow down, reconnect, and live more cooperatively, creating a stronger sense of place and community.
At its heart, permaculture is about creating beauty, abundance, and nourishment.
Well-designed gardens and shared spaces help people create lifelong benefits, including:
- Fresh, organic food straight from your land
- Reduced maintenance and ongoing costs
- Increased self-sufficiency and independence
- Beautiful and functional landscapes
- Healthier soil and more resilient ecosystems
- Slowing down and enjoying a more intentional lifestyle
- Mental and physical wellbeing through time in the garden
How It Works

About the Permaculturist
Dean Curtis has over a decade of experience in the permaculture world, beginning with his first permaculture garden in 2013. He has managed large market gardens and food forests on working farms and spent countless hours volunteering, experimenting, and learning in smaller gardens.
Over the years Dean has learned directly from senior practitioners in the field, studying food forestry and regenerative growing systems, and gaining practical insight into what actually works, and what doesn’t, through hands on trial and error.
Dean has completed two Permaculture Design Certificates, a Permaculture Teacher Training course, and many other permaculture-related trainings.
Today he helps people design and establish resilient, practical, and productive systems on their land from food forests and regenerative gardens to composting, swales, water catchment, and whole-property design.
